时间状语从句：
I will return the book when I finish it. when 引导的一个句子指明主句谓语动词return的发生时间，作状语。
定语从句：
I will never forget the time(day, month,year...) when we played together. when引导的句子对前面提到的时间像time, day , month等进行解释说明，像这句，哪个time?我们一起玩的那些时间。
区分办法：定语从句前面肯定有先行词，就是你那个从句要解释说明的，如果一个when引导的句子前面有time,day,month之类表时间的词，那肯定就是定语从句了，相反如果when从句前面不是时间类的词那就肯定不是定从啦。
where引导的同理，如果前面有表地点,地方的先行词，那就是定从，没有就是状从
例：
This is the place where I put the book. where前面有place,定从。
I can't find the building where my brother works. 定从。
Please put the drugs(药品) where children can't reach. 前面的drugs不能表地点或地方，状从。
