时间状语从句常见的引导词有：when、while、before、after、since、until、as soon as、the moment、the minute等等。
一、when。
1、at or during the time that意为“当xx时”，从句动作和主句动作：同时发生。
例句：I loved history when I was at school.
我上学事喜欢历史。
2、从句动作和主句动作：先后发生。
例句：Call me when you've finished.
当你结束了，打电话给我。（从句动作先发生）。
3、just after which意为“就在那时xx＂或“xx忽然．xx”之意。
例句：We were about to leave when he came in.
你完成后就打电话给我。
二、while。
1、at the same time as sth else is happening意为“当xx时”，主从句动作同时发生。
例句：While my wife was reading the newspaper, I was watching TV.
我妻子在读报纸的时候，我在看电视。
2、during the time that sth is happening意为“在xx期间”，主句动作发生在从句动作过程中。
例句：Please look after my little dog while we are away.
在我离开的这段时间请帮我照顾小狗。
三、as。
1、表示在某事发生的过程中，另一事发生。
例句：Just as he was speaking there was a loud explosion.
就在他说话时响起来爆炸声。
2、表示两个动作同时发生，意为“一边xx一边xx”。
例句：The students took notes as they listened.
学生们一边听一边做笔记。
3、表示“随着xx（时间的推移）。
例句：As she grew older she gained in confidence.
随着年龄的增长，她变得自信了。
四、since。
意为“自从”。
例句：I have been teaching in this schoolsinceI left college.
自从大学毕业，我就在这所学校教书了。
五、as soon as、the moment、once。
译为“一xx就xx”。
例句：I'll contact you as soon as you come back.
你回来我就联系你。
PS：immediately/instantly/directly等也可以引导时间状语从句，表示“一xx就”，但不常用。
例句：The machine will work instantly you press the .
