The "Project Runway" star and the uber-hip musician chat about a few of their favorite places, events and things -- as a couple.
Name: Christian Siriano / Brad Walsh
Age: 22 / 26
Profession: Fashion Designer / Musician
City: New York
Relationship Status: Together
Sexuality: 100% heterosexual
What are some of the things you love most about New York City?
Christian: Every day you can run into someone you haven't seen in forever. And all the shopping, of course.
Brad: I love that there is always something to do and new people to hang out with, and oppositely if you don't want to leave the house, you can get anything delivered.
What are some of your least favorite things about New York City?
Brad: I'm truly exhausted by the number of crazy people who do crazy things in public. And I hate that the F train is totally unreliable.
Christian: It's always so hot in the subway, it makes my hair wilt.
What gym do you like most in New York City? Why?
Brad: I like the NY Health and Racquet Club, because they sponsored a show of mine. Truthfully, I've never set foot in a gym.
Christian: Well, since I am an Olympic gold medalist, I work out with Jackie Warner at Sky Sport once a week. I fly in and fly out.
What are some great restaurants for a romantic gay date in New York City? What about these restaurants appeals to you?
Brad: My favorite date restaurant is a Japanese place called Ten, on 7th Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn. It's actually the only place I think we've gone alone together on multiple occasions in my neighborhood. Angelina, downtown on Avenue A, was our default for a long time before Christian moved to Williamsburg.
What are your favorite gay bars and/or dance clubs in New York City? What do you like about them?
Christian: Hiro at the Maritime Hotel on Sundays. It's just fun. A lot of my friends go there.
What are your favorite gay parties or events in New York City, if any? What is the crowd or scene like at those places?
Brad: The stuff we usually do isn't so much gay-oriented as it is gay-friendly. I host parties and DJ lots of places that aren't gay clubs, but plenty of the gays go there and it's usually a mixed crowd. High Voltage Wednesdays and Ruff Club Fridays at the Annex, or Stolen Transmission at Hanger Bar on Fridays. Pretty low-key but super fun dance parties where a bunch of fashion-obsessed young people come together and have a great time.
Where is the best public place for a gay person to make out in New York City?
Brad: I dont think there's a good public place for anybody to make out. Kiss, fine. Make out? Get a room!
Christian: Maybe at your own front door, but yeah.
