1.可以用welcomed，不过句子成份不同：to be welcomed 是不定式做状语表原因；而welcomed是过去分词做状语表原因。
2.这里牵扯到非谓语动词的用法：to do表示还没发生的动作，doing表示正在发生的动作，done表示发生完了的动作。根据前后句可以推知这里是表示“即将到来的演讲”。
3. 。。呃。这个我也不太清楚，我觉得就是应该用looked for，这句话的意思是，被人们探索了很多年，别的星球上的人的生活对于人类来说仍然是一个谜。
4.keep sb. done 应该是表示被动。
5.不一定。这个要看前面的时态，前面如果是is，后面用现在完成时；若是was，就用过去完成时。

1.feel it adj. to do sth是个固定的用法，这里it可以省略，被动就要用to be honored，其实这里还有一个语感的问题，你读读看。
2.如果用following，要表达成in the following lecture，单个动名词做定语一般用在名词前，这里出现的是不定式做后置定语。
3.这里主要要表达一个完成的概念，和后面的still相呼应。
4.没有见过这样的固定搭配，不过这里要填的话也只能是reminded吧。
5.是的，this is the……time后面加现在完成时，this was the……time后面加过去完成时。
