如题所述

My experience of English learning

As the worldwide used language, English is becoming more and more important in our morden life. It is very important for us to learning English well. I started my english learning from middle school, and I have spent more then ten years on it. Though my hard working , I can speak English quite well now. I think the following two mentions will be usful for you english improving.

First of all, learning one thing, whatever it may be, needs the push of achievements. We all become frustated when we get the bad result. To make things worse, those irritating feelings may handicap our potential ability.

So, first of all, just try to find a field we can prove our ability in English learning. You may think that you are not a qualified language learner, that you don't possess the in-born ability to learn English. Throw all these stuff into the nearst trash can! Remember, always tell yourself that you can make great achievements and that you are no slower than others.

Second, be patient. Rome was not built in a day. We all need time to make progress. Reading may consume a lot of your time, especailly in the situation that you read some profound material. When you find that your precious time has drained away while seemingly little progress has been made, you become disappointed and want to forget all those stuff. You may even tell yourself that there is no way for you to make any improvement in reading. You are wrong. Learning English requires perseverance. You plant yourself there and read English for several hours. You may be content with this single day. But can you form this habbit? Oh, no, really boring. Someone may shake his head. To become a really good English learner, howerver, you have to do this!

Third, find a correct way of learning things. Always check what your weak points lie in. Don't rush through all the exercises. Reviewing what we have learned is very, very important. Don't tell others how many exercises you have finished in order to show how you have tried to learn better, but ask yourself whether you can give correct answers or not. Fourth, apply what we have learned whenever possible. Often forget the words you have just memorised?Use them! Apply them in oral English or writing. That will help. That is my way of memorising words. Whenever you find good sentences, copy them down and apply them in your composition. Five, do more reciting. You have still enough room in your head, do you? A few words to say. I am happy to share my experience in English learning with you. I am still exploring a more scientific way of achieve more. I composed series of articles in the fields of listening , phonetics, oral English, reading, writing, translation and interpreting in order to make some pondering upon some possible learning methods. I am not an expert, and I am still learning. I hope this article can answer some of your question. Thank you all for your support.

When I was young, I‘d listen to the radio waiting for my favorite song, yesterday once more, a song sang by Carpenter, It was the beautiful melody and the gentle rhythm which can make me happy, at that time, I regarded English as a fascinating language and just it laid the subtle foundation of the passion of English learning in future.

At the age of 12 I came to a new school, when I was in grade 5; I began to learn English taught by a young madam, miss hung. She was strict with us, I still remembered that was a day when I did so many mistakes at spelling that she saw red with me and penalized me to rewrite those wrong words 100 each. I felt annoyed by her decision restlessly, copied these words just like a machine, without any attentions to them. When she knew about that she called me to her office, chatting with me, gently. She said:”you are an excellent student, I know your passion, your love to English, but you’d know you must straight manner and do basis work of English.”I felt ashamed of her education and hardened myself against former rebel. From then on, I worked hard and my English became better and better

As one member of the Chinesestudents, I have the typical same experience of English learning with otherguys.
As is known to all, English learningconsists of five parts: listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation. Therefore, I began the learning process step by step as the above.
I first began to have the Englishclass in my junior school. I learnt English from ABC to words, then sentences, even passages. Though my English teacher had an actually very beautiful pronunciation, she still recommended us to listen to the English cassette. What’s more, shealso asked us to read English books loudly everyday and to recite our textbookor good passages. Thanks to her hard requirements, I formed good habits oflearning English.
Then I entered Beijing NO.2 MiddleSchool. During the middle school’ life, I learnt the most important part ofEnglish, grammar. It not only helped me to understand the sentence structure, but also assisted me to know the meaning of the sentences, the paragraphsbetter. In other words, with the help of grammar, I could read some moredifficult passages.
In my opinion, learning English is along process, it needs every day’s improvement, so there is no need to attendother extracurricular classes. But an old saying always reminds me to studyEnglish now and then, which is no pain, no gain. So when I want to be lazy forEnglish study, it will come out to threaten the lazy worms back.
Later, I became a student of BeijingInternational Studies University. My English learning experience in the pastthree years in university was extremely useful and unforgettable.
