(1) Be(am, is, are,were)是助动词的一种
a. “be+V-ing”构成进行时 eg. What are you doing?
b.“be+过去分词”构成被动语态 eg. English is spoken by lots of people in the world.
c.be + 动词不定式， 表示最近、未来的计划或安排eg. He is to go to New York next week
(2) Do (do, does, did) 构成疑问、否定及强调
(3) shall Will+动词原形 构成一般将来时 过去式 should ,would

2．助动词的功能（时态和语态都要用到be动词）
a. 表示时态：(1) He is singing. (他在唱歌。)表示正在进行时态
(2) He has got married. (他已经结婚了。)表示完成时态。
b. 表示语态：(1) She was sent to England. (2) The boy was punished by his father.
c. 构成疑问句，包括一般疑问句和特殊疑问句。
一般疑问句：(1) Do you like English? (2) Does she want a cup of coffee?
特殊疑问句：(1) What does she want? (2) Where do you live?
d. 与否定副词not合用，构成否定句 He doesn't come from America. He will go to Shanghai.
