一般人家不幸或者受伤，比如人家生病了就应该跟人家说”I'm sorry to hear that you are sick“，要表示遗憾和伤心，但是更多的是遗憾。

但是要看你说的外国朋友是哪个国家的，国家不同安慰的方式也会不同。我以上说的情况是在美国的情况。不想误导提问者，所以要说一下，我是从小就在国外的，所以那种说法常用我还是一眼就能看得出来。

楼上的几位朋友有些错误哦，

一楼的应该是recover而不是recovery(名词）
二楼的感觉很诗意，但是这样说并不合适，人家不是得病了需要吃药。。
三楼的就不用说了吧
