In the 21st Century, English is no doubt the most important language in the world. It is the international language that connects people of different age, gender and culture together. This can be seen in areas of trade, where business contracts are usually signed in english copy. In politics, where important politicians in advanced countries usually possess the skill of English.
With the impact of globalisation, this means Chinese people now often deals with foreigners. We cannot specialise in all of these languages. English provides a relief for us as most foreigners understand English. With the ability of communication, we can avoid being tricked or ripped off by foreigners, so unfair signing of documentation will not place becaue now we understand the information.
English is been spoken by many advanced countries such as U.S.A, UK, Canada and Australia. This inevitably means English is needed by Chinese politicians when they meet with western country politicians. So English Interpretors (同步翻译)are in significant demand.
Here, a good grasp of English will provide good job opportunites in a competitive environment. This is important as many people are unemployed, but being an English Interpretor will give you a good pay, which means better life for you and your family.

There are thousands of languages in the world. Each language seems to be the most important to those who speak it as their native language,Thisis not strange at all ,seeing that it is the language they learned at their mothers' kness and may be the only language many of then will ever know all their lives.
The importance of a language can be judged according to several things. The first is the number of native speakers that a language happen to have .The second os how widely the native speakers are distributed over the world .Next comes the cultural ,economicand political influence of those who speak it as theor mother tongue.
There can be no doubt that English is one of the world's most widely used languages. People use a language in one of three ways: as a native language, as a second language, or as a foreign languge. English is spoken as a native language by over three handred million people in the United States, Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, some caribbean countries and South Africa. As asecond language, English is often necessary for official business, education, information and other activities in many countries, it is one of the few "working" languages of the United Nations.
