当然有啦，只不过每个民族的自考方式不同，所以很多都是对不上号的。
不过，与经过历史拣选沉淀下来的汉语谚语不同，英语的言语通常指代很模糊，它不一定就一个意思，而是随著情况改变的。
举几个例子吧：
Set a beggar to a horseback and he'll ride to the devil
把一个要饭的扶上马背他就骑著找恶魔去了。
这句话的意思说——大概就是说给脸不会用，有条件不会发挥，或者说烂泥扶不上壁。
Horses for courses.
物尽其用，各善其职。
In fair weather prepare for foul
在好天气为坏天气做准备，未雨绸缪之意。
One foe too many，a hundred friends too few
多个朋友多条路，多个冤家多堵墻。
You cannot eat a cake and have it.
鱼和熊掌不可兼得。
Evil people are samely bad all over the world.
天下乌鸦一般黑。
