【Abstract】With the development of information technologies such as computers and the Internet, more and more modern methods are applied for teaching in the high school education. These modern teaching methods have come to pervade the education field with an unexpected speed. Information technologies, with its cores of multimedia technology and network technology are playing an influential role in teaching due to its immediacy, interesting tactic and vivid characteristic and challenging the traditional teaching modes and methods. As a supplementary teaching method, the multimedia information technologies are vivid, involving both hearing and seeing and visual. These technologies can be practiced in both dynamic and static manners, divided in parts and integrated as a whole, variable in size and free of time and space. They are playing a significant role in improving the scientific teaching quality. It deserves attention of our teachers how to effectively apply the modern information technologies in a timely and proper manner and we should strive to practice these technologies for meeting the demand of current society for the development of teaching.
