求解两个英语句子改错题。。

1、The store,where a party to be held,some workers were sitting the tables.
2、Where can it be what studies English.
每个句子只有一个错误
第一个我觉得有两个错误：party与to中间是不是应该加个was？sitting与the tables中间是不是还缺个介词？
第二个我完全看不懂。。。
求高人解答啊。。

where a party was to be held为非限制性定语从句，修饰先行词the store.
was to be held为过去将来时时态的结构。

至于第二个错误，肯定是楼主看错或打错了，原句应该是were setting the talbes. set在此句中解释为“摆设/摆放”，类似于lay.

2. 同样，我估计此题漏打一个单数的主语，如：Where can it be that he studies English?
这样，只需要把what改成that即可。
此句为强调句型的特殊疑问句。
如：He studies English in the classroom.
对地点状语强调，并加上表示推测/可能性的情态动词can，即：It can be in the classroom that he studies English.
再对地点状语提问，即为：Where it can be that he studies English?

第一题只有一个错误，to be held 是不定式做定语，不用加was. sitting 后面应该加个介词by, 或者别的介词也行。
第二题什么意思我也看不懂了。。
