这种缩写本质上是将be动词进行缩写，具体缩写原则如下：

1、主谓缩写原则：即be动词与作主语的名词或代词缩写。去掉am, is, are的第一个字母，用单引号代替。如：am → ’m, are → ’re, is → ’s。

2、否定缩写原则：即be动词与not可以缩写。not中的“o”用“’”代替。如：is not → isn’t, are not → aren’t 。

特别提醒：

1、am与not不可缩写。  

2、this与is，these, those与are不能缩写。

3、在一般疑问句的肯定回答中，句末的am, is, are不能与主语缩写。

4、不能同时使用两个缩写形式。
