is 是“是”的意思。 如 she is a girl.
do 是“做”的意思。 如 can you do it for me?
2.从语法上区分
is 是系动词 Third person singular present indicative of be，后面接名词、形容词，与v-ing连用构成现在进行时；与v-ed连用构成被动语
例句　1The video is programmed to switch on at ten o'clock. 电视机设定在10点钟自动打开。 　　2：That's the way it is. 　　就是这么回事。
