Dear editor,
Hello.I am writing to tell you about the terrible snowstorm occuring in our country in the early 2008.In Janurary 2008,just before Spring Festival thousands of millions of people were rushing home in different ways to celebrate Chinese New Year's Day,when a seldom seen snowstorm came out,hitting the southern China.Almost all traffic was blocked,a large number of people who had been in the airports,railway stations and coach stations for their journey had to stayed there,without enough food or warm clothes in such cold weather.What's worse,some people fell ill due to hunger and frigidity.The snowstorm lasted for a month,and the people's work and life was influenced a lot.But to our delight,our government attached great importance to the matter and all people were united to fight against the snowstorm.Many police and soldiers were sent to the scene to pretect the people,doctors and volunteers helped care for them,and a mass of clothes and food were supplied for them.
As a student studying in Guangzhou,I saw the whole matter with my own eyes.I was shocked at the dreadful snowstorm and affected by what the government and the warm-hearted people had done.

If someone is hungry and thirsty in snow storm, just give him some food. If someone falls down in snow, just hold him up. And we do it for free; we do it not ask for return. I believe that if one day we need help, they will help us too. The snow storm has no love, but we have love; the snow storm is cold, but we are warm; the snow storm is terrible, but we will try our best to overcome it, and we will overcome it.
