—What's that on the grass?
—It's (a little ) sheep.
为什么用a little 而不用a few ，我认为是a few 可是答案后面写a little.

a little sheep一只小羊
这里的little 是形容词，小的，而不是考你a little 修饰不可数名词的用法

a few sheep 一些羊语法上都是正确的 sheep单复数同形

但此题中的谓语动词是is，所以只能是一只羊而不是一些羊

It's a little sheep或they are a few sheep都是对的

a little 这里不是用作数量, 是形容那只羊是一只小羊.

问题是问What's that on the grass?
是指, 草地上的是什麼? 还有就是"that" 是单数. 已经表明了是一件的东西

a few 是复数.本回答被提问者采纳
