Nothing science can have more time to study and to compare his own favorite subject, and can learn better, if anything to learn, then, a total of nine high school classes, for each lesson to learn all kick the tires and eventually learn anything bad. And if science and the arts while learning, then there will be many contradictions, because the science required to do a lot of time question, but the arts have to spend a lot of time to endorsement, so that the distribution in time there will be many problems. Today, China's education but also against the trend, many universities have a partial text, or the tendency of partial reasons, including the go after work, there will be the difference between liberal arts, so our high school students think that science should be nothing.
Indeed, the existence of the world, Leonardo da Vinci as a genius, but such a genius, how many do? A person's energy is limited, genius-like figure in the vast flow of history is just brilliant but tiny star in 99% of people are on their own success in a long entry. 18 as well versed in weapons, after all, very few people, so we have to choose one aspect of the system in-depth study, rather than subjects of science, Section of ill-equipped.

The segregation of Science and Arts subjects allows more time for one to focus on the subjects of his/her interests, so as to have a better mastery of these subjects.
There are all together 9 subjects in high school, if each and every one of these subjects are compulsary, focus would be diluted, resulting in partial knowlegde in all of these subjects.
There are also bound to be many conflicts if one is to take up Science and Arts subjects concurrently. For instance, Science subjects require time input in problem solving whilst Arts subjects require a large amount of time in memorising work. The allocation of time would become a major issue in this case.
Noting the recent trend in education in China, focus of individual tertiary education institution tends to be skewed towards either the Science school , or the Arts school, and this disparity continues into graduation, where different job scopes require disciplines in either Science or Arts. Thus, it is advisable to make that segregation in high school, so that students will be able to focus and to gain more in-depth knowledge of the subject of their interest.
Undeniably, there are genius like Da Vinci, who excelled in both disciplines, but such people constitues a very small fraction of our population. A person's resources are limited, thus, it is crucial that one uses the limited resource and to maximise its efficiency by focusing on a few key areas of study. In fact, most of us succeed based on a few traits, instead of knowing a little about everything and being goood at nothing.
PS: I figured your opposition may argue that focusing on few subjects may lead to biased views and say, a closed mindset, which can make you obsolete in this highly competitive and dynamic world, where the only thing that doesn't change is change itself. We used to argue that students from the science faculty can't write whilst students from the arts faculty can't count, lol...I personally feel that a little more exposure is always a plus, but time management may be a point of dispute here. Good luck to you. Cheers.
