Please read the following instructions carefully before you start the written test (a breach of any instruction herebelow may directly terminate the qualification of your application):
i. The first three and the last three questions shall be answered, respectively, in English and Chinese with no more than ONE page (#12 Times New Roman or 宋体, double space) for each question. No appendix is allowed, and there shall be no extra page for the figures or tables.
ii. You are encouraged to refer to any necessary reference, database, Internet resources, reports or statistics in answering the questions. But it must be appropriately acknowledged. Even the use of a few words or paraphrasing (without actually copying any words at all) may constitute plagiarism if the source is not acknowledged. We adopt a policy of zero tolerance on cheating in the written test.
iii. You reserve the discretion of using any theory or model you feel necessary to illustrate your points. However, you are not required to use any econometric model or mathematical finance model by SAS, VBA, C, C++ or MATLAB in answering any question, and it might not be a plus. You should provide your code text if you use any programming software. You are not required to present the work sheet of financial statement analysis nor the formulas, but please clearly indicate the method(s) you use to reach your conclusion. For your information, it is not advised to make too many academic or theoretical arguments.
iv. You are encouraged to formulate your independent and creative analysis, which might not necessarily be consistent with any normative theory or the related viewpoints we previously presented in the publication and TV programs. But it has to be backed by solid empirical evidence and rigorous analysis.
For the fairness of the recruitment, we will not answer any inquiry from any candidate if she/he finds any difficulty in understanding any question or requirement.
