英语语法有关于there be句型

我知道there be to do 和 there be doing的区别，但是昨天写作文的时候用到一个句子' there are some advantages to live in the city'，老师说我用错了，应该是there are some advantages to living in the city。还有这种用法？现在搞混了，整个人都是崩溃的。
