He who exercises government by means of his virtue may be compared to the north polar star, which keeps its place and all the stars turn towards it. Confucius (551 BC-479 BC), The Confucian Analects
When anger rises, think of the consequences. Confucius (551 BC-479 BC)
If I keep a green bough in my heart, the singing bird will come. Chinese Proverb
Love is of all passions the strongest, for it attacks simultaneously the head, the heart and the senses. Lao Tzu (Chinese taoist Philosopher, founder of Taoism, wrote Tao Te Ching, also The Book of the Way)
The wise adapt themselves to circumstances, as water moulds itself to the pitcher. Chinese Proverb
