Acceptance of Claims
Dear Sirs:
Thank you for your letter of May 20 in which you lodge a claim for short delivery of 5000 kg of cement.
We wish to express our deep regret at this incident. We have checked with our warehouse in 5-ply paper bags as specified in the contract. This was due to the negligence of our warehouse staff. We are most concerned to maintain our long-standing trading relationship. We therefore enclose a check for Euro 550 in full and final settlement of your claim.
We trust that this unfortunate error will not adversely affect our future relations.
Yours faithfully,
Acceptance
Dear Sir:
Your proposal offering us the agency for our products on consignment in your city as contained in your letter of April 12, 2005, interests us deeply. We endorse your views as to the importance of exhibiting and demonstrating our products.
We suggest that, at the initial stage, we forward you some small quantities to test the market. As regards your commission, it is our practice to allow our agents a commission of 10% on net sales. In addition, accounts of sales should be sent to us at the end of each quarter following the month of delivery. Any goods unsold will be returned for our account.
Assuring you of our best cooperation at all times .
Yours faithfully,
