城市生活好还是乡村生活好英语作文

如题所述

City Life and Country Life
There's a great difference between city life and country life in population. Big cities are so crowded, while in the countryside, there are much fewer people.
People in big cities are nice, friendly and helpful. They are polite to strangers. When you get lost, they are willing to show you the right directions. When you're hurt in an accident, they're also eager to send you to hospital at once. However, citizens don't know each other so well, because most of them are busy with earning their bread. While in the countryside, things are much more different. Almost everyone is so familiar with each other. They always say hello to each other on the way. Even though you are strangers, they also talk to you like old friends. And they are also happy to invite you to dinner in their homes.
Maybe most people like the big cities, because of the good living conditions. But I prefer to live in the countryside, for it's much quieter and more peaceful. In the morning, I can lie in the bed, listening to the birds singing. It seems like a free concert, which can bring me a happy mood. Moreover, I can meet different kinds of people outside. When I greet to them and smile to them, they also do the same to me. It's just a simple life, but the feeling is so great.

Life in a city and the countryside There are many difference between the living conditions of people in a city and in the countryside. Life in the countryside seems to offer much closeness to Nature and among people, but to me, living in a city is obviously more colorful and fulfilling. In a city, one can usually find many interesting places such as museums and parks to go and see, while in the countryside the places one can go to are limited. Another major differences are that of going to school. A city usually has many good schools, where teachers are of high level and teaching facilities are advanced, which in turn can train high-level students. But in the countryside, teaching conditions are low so that the number of students who can go to college is small. An equally important contrast is the variation of shopping facilities. In a city anyone can shop around until they buy what they are satisfied. For examplae, if you want to buy an overcoat, there are many shopping centers you can go to where you can select and bargain. In the countryside, as there are much fewer shopping facilities, people do not have the choice in the first place. On the whole, life in a city has many advantage over that in the countryside.

I live in the city. I am overwhelmed by the sounds and the fast paced life of the city. You don't know anyone's name you don't smile or say hello. It is impersonal and isolating...

In contrast we are going to be moving to the country for my husband's retirement here in a few years so we have been spending time in rural settings attempting to determine where we want to go. The problem is that every place we stay for a while we say is 'the place.' We have some common observations for those small town rural places...

The people are friendly, alive, interactive.

The environment is more natural and beautiful and peaceful and calm.

The quiet is refreshing and soothing.

The feeling of being in a community is overwhelming as a visitor but I am sure lovely if you stay.

The benefits to city life are the activities and the opportunities and the excitement. I would like to live country rural with the city a few hours away so that we can take advantage of the cuisine, the entertainment, the fun, and life in the peace and quiet and the slower pace.
