One day, a tiger met a rabbit in a woods, and the tiger said: " Hey Mr Rabbit, I heard you lost a race against a turtle, is that true?" The rabbit became really angry and replied nothing. The tiger smiled and continued: " I know a magic which can wipe out everyone's memory of your loss to that annoying turtle, but it needs a little sacrifice, I am not sure—" "Just tell me the magic!" The rabit suddenly came in with a rageful voice, those widely opened eyes seemed to glare the tiger to death. At that moment, even the fearless tiger was shocked by a little bit, but he quickly calmed down and walked to an old tree. " See?" The tiger pointed at one giant hole on that tree, " just jump into this hole and you can eat the person who wrote the story of that race, then—." " I will!" The rabbit insisted, who seemed ready to give up all for this magic. " What should I sacrifice?" " Well, it may be quite paradoxical but the scarifice is just your existence." The tiger explained, "Since the story will not be wrote, you shall not be created, either."

Time stopped, the whole woods fell into a suffocating silence, with a choice between life and fame waiting to be made. One second, the rabbit got the answer. "How ironic." He thought, " it was until this moment I knew how anger slowly corroded me. " He turned around, trying to say something but finally didn't, and walked back home where he got the most ridicules. The tiger was still there, feeling a little disappointed. He had led houndres of animals to this woods, but not a single one had given up a short life for a longlasting fame. This time, just when he thought it was most likely to succeed his hope died out again. "Now I see the truth, " the tiger said, "Pleasure, rage, sorrow and joy are all fake, only one thing is real and that is the thirst to live..."

Nobody has ever seen the tiger again, yet nobody knows where he goes. The only thing left was an old tree standing there, opening its month to wait the next one who gives up all to live.
