because,since,as和for的区别

because, as, for, since这几个词都是表示“原因”的连词,语气由强至弱依次为:because→since→as→for;其中because, since, as均为从属连词,引导原因状语从句;而for 是并列连词,引导并列句.
(1)I stayed at home because it rained.
(2)Because Lingling was ill, she didn”t come to school.
(3)Why is she absent?
Because she is sick.
(4)It was because I missed the early bus that I was late for school.
(1)Since he asks you, you”ll tell him why.
(2)Since everyone is here, let”s start.
(3)Since I understood very little Japanese, I couldn”t follow the conversation.
(1)We all like her as she is kind.
(2)As I had a cold, I was absent from school.
(3)As Xiaowang was not ready, we went without him.

(1)The days are short, for it is now December.
(2)It must have rained, for the ground is wet.
(3)The ground is wet because it has rained.
(4)I could not go, for / because I was ill.
(5)He felt no fear, for / because he was a brave boy.

1, because表示因为,语气最强,所以一般用来回答why的问句;如:why do you hand in your article late?because I have to look after my grandma.
Since everyone is here, let's begin(既然都到了,那我们开始吧)
3, for表示并列推理,对一个事实的推理,例如:she must be at home for the light is on(她肯定在家,因为她家的灯是亮的)
As the machine is broken,we should ask someone to repair it.

since, as because,for都可表示原因,它们的区别是:

Because is used when the reason is the most important part of the sentence or utterance. The because clause usually comes at the end:

e.g. I went to Spain last summer because I wanted the guarantee of sunshine on every day of my holiday.

As and since are used when the reason is already well known and is therefore usually less important. The as or since clause is usually placed at the beginning of the sentence:

e.g. As the performance had already started, we went up to the balcony and occupied some empty seats there.

e.g. Since John had already eaten, I made do with a sandwich.

For suggests that the reason is given as an afterthought. It is never placed at the beginning of the sentence and is more characteristic of written, rather than spoken English:

e.g. I decided to stop the work I was doing - for it was very late and I wanted to go to bed.
