英语，关于～我相信。或者我不相信～的说法

Question

Do you think it is going to rain over the weekend?

a: I don't believe b: I don't believe it
c: I believe not so d: I believe not

由于believe是不及物动词，一般都说believe in。所以先排除b,c
然后。。A为啥不可以选呢？难道是语法规定believe的否定词要放在在后面？

是固定用法。就像我希望如此 I hope so.
我希望不是这样。I hope not.而不说I dont hope so。是语言表达的习惯。
如果后面跟句子。就用I don't believe.eg:
I don't believe he got full mark in the exam>
我不相信他考试得了满分

不是相信不相信
而是我认为不会的意思
