Good morning, boys and girls, nice to see you again, yesterday ，we’ve learned English is a language spoken all around the world and it plays a more and more important role in international affairs. Also we learned the differences between American English and British English. Today ，we will learn more thing about English，first ，I‘d like to ask you a question：what language has the largest number of speakers? Yeah, everyone know it is Chinese, because China has a big population .but do you know what language is the most wildly spoken and used? That’s it ,English is the most wildly spoken and used language ,all the students ,please take out a piece of paper and list at least five English-speaking countries in the world that you can think of .Have you finished yet ? Any volunteer? America. Very good! Canada, any more ?Excellent ,New Zealand ,London ?oh ,no ,London is a English –speaking city ,but it is not a country ,Ireland .ok ,the last one .who can tell me ?well ,I know a country in the south of the earth ,it is a big country ,yeah ,you got it .Australia ,and so on .
since English is so widely used ,it plays a more and more important role in International affairs .Do you want to know something about English ?please open your book and turn to page 10,today we will learn the passage named” English around the world “.please read the passage quickly and find the key sentence of each paragraph. Ok ,time’s up ,any volunteer to tell me the key sentence of the first paragraph ?John ,please !well done !John did a good job ,the key sentence of the first paragraph is the first sentence ,please read it aloud ,”English is a language spoken all around the world ,and the second paragraph ?who wants to have a try ?very good ,lily ,please ,yeah ,perfect ,many people speak English as a first or second language is the key sentence of the second paragraph .now the last paragraph ,.maybe it is a little difficult ,mary please ,oh ,mary just said the key sentence of the third paragraph is the first sentence of the paragraph ?Do you agree ?Jim ,you don’t agree .would you please tell us your opinion on it ?very good since the main idea of the third paragraph is the importance of English ,many people communicate in English in every fields ,such as organizations, business ,tourist and so on ,it become more and more importance to have a good knowledge of English /In this case ,the key sentence of the third paragraph is the last sentence of it ,do you understand ?since we have found out the outline of this passage .let’s read it again and answer the queation in the part POST-READING:1.Why is it becoming more and more important to have a good knowledge of English?
Because English is spoken and used all around the world. With so many people communicating in English, it is becoming more and more important to have a knowledge of English

3. Do native English speakers have difficulty in understanding each other?

Discussion. Work in groups. Discuss the two questions and then ask two groups to report their answers to the class.
Do you think it’s necessary to have a good knowledge of English? Why do you think so? Does it mean English learning should be paid more attention to than Chinese learning? Reasons for learning a foreign language on the center of the board:

Ask the students to suggest as many reasons as they can think of, for example, for work, as a hobby, to learn about other people, to travel, to read literature in the original, to read research papers, to meet foreigners, to surf the Internet, to pass exams, etc. Write their suggestions on the board as they make them.
The reasons why people all over the world want to learn English:
★ With economy globalization, English has become the best bridge to serve the purpose of people all over the world communicating with one another.
★ However, like all major languages in the world, English is always changing. In order to adjust to native speakers from different parts of the world, it is a must for people all over the world to learn English, whether in English speaking countries or in non-English speaking countries.
★ Also, people from different parts of the world speak English with various accent and dialects, and people have to learn about the difference between different kinds of English in order to avoid misunderstanding while communicating.

但遇到具体的题目还是需要自己分析,有时候阅读不好理解时,可以找同事,其他英语老师商量..

我只是学生,但我高中的时候遇到很多实习老师.
高中和初中不同,初中每天要演话剧之类,很好玩.
我那个高中老师基本就讲语法去了,很无聊.
但貌似很多老师都喜欢这样,因为有高考指挥棒.
不是说这个不好,但是我觉得还是要生动,而且课堂最重要的是和学生的互动.
要积极调动课堂气氛,学生大了一般都没初中生那么积极了,也不爱发言.
可以做一些英语小游戏,但不要太幼稚,要被鄙视,呵呵~
作为老师,一定要高标准,严要求.
(高中生偷懒的多,你不严他们成绩很容易下降.)
当然,老师自身的素质,要专业,不死板..多沟通,重学法.
(经常谈心,教学相长,指导学生巧学,勤学)
听说读写译,均衡发展..
上课用PPT课件,推荐学生一些好的英文电影,歌曲..
也可以搞电影配音之类,
演讲很好(一般都比较激烈,分大组,不用举手,有观点站起来直接说)
(演话剧就算了,貌似他们那个年龄不爱搞这个了..)
其实你以前教过书,没问题的..2年而已.
