用英语表达日期：
1、在英国英语中，通常可有两种表达法：月日年或者日月年。
写法：(the) 2(nd) May, 1988
读法：the second of May, nineteen eighty-eight
或 写法：May (the) 2(nd), 1988
读法：May the second, nineteen eighty-
2、在美国英语中，通常只采用一种表达法：月、日、年。
写法：May 2(nd), 1988
读法：May second, nineteen eighty-eight
美式日期书写注意事项：
1. 也许会有人写成October 16th, 或是October the 16th
然后也许在读的时候把”the”也读了出来。这都不算错，只是比较少见而已。
2. 星期几一定是摆在最前头，接着就是月份和日期，最后才是年份。如果，还要详细再加上时间。比方几点几分，那就搁在最后头。比方拿我的出生日期来说，
I was born on Monday, February 5, 1962 at 11:00 PM.
He arrived on Friday, May 10.
3. 介词也请注意。月份/年份 都是” in “
例如：I was born in 1962.
My birthday is in February.
日期用的.是”on”,
例如：When is your birthday?
It’s on February 5, 1962.
When will you go to America?
It’s on the 19th of this month.
时间就如上头举的例子，用”at”. 哦，对了，上午(AM; a.m.), 下午(PM; p.m.)
请注意，大写时不用句点，小写表示时就要用到句点。
4. 美式口语（非正式）February 5, 有时还会念成 February five，也就是直接当cardinal number来念。（注：cardinal number “基数”也就是阿拉伯数字。ordinal number “序数”, 如1st,2nd, 3rd, 等等）
例句：I finally arrived February 5. 我终于在二月五号抵达。
按美国习惯, 最为通用日期的写法，月、日、年，月份用英文，日和年用阿拉伯数字。例如：2008年9月8日应写成：Sep. 8, 2008 或 09/08/2008
