The Procedures are written at functional department level and describe how each organization will implement their relevant part of the Integrated Management System.
The procedures are revised, as necessary, to reflect the actual objectives, flow of tasks and staff responsibilities and it must be traceable in the documentation system (Revision# and Date).
Effective implementations of the system is achieved through :
a) the allocation of responsibilities and authority
b) regular management reviews
c) regular internal audits
d) system documentation control
1.3 Level III – Instructions/ Standard Operating Procedures,
The Work Instructions are step-by-step instructions specific to the work task or machine operation, they contain safety, quality and environmental requirements. Work Instructions specify tools, show workmanship criteria and indicate tolerances. Work instructions may take the form of drawings, flowcharts and reports and operating manuals.
1.4 Level IV – Records.
The Records are ongoing, objective evidence of the VWI’s Integrated System and it evolves from the processes. In accordance with the relevant standards, the mandatory records are stored, identified, maintained and kept for a specified retention period. All records are disposed as soon as the retention period is over.
