YOU ALMOST STUMPED US!
QUESTION: After upgrading my iPad to iOS 4.3.1, there is no sound when I'm connected to the same PC using Splashtop Remote Desktop. Help!
ANSWER: Using iOS 4.3, you can set the side switch to function either as a Screen Rotation Lock or Mute button. The default is mute. To unmute, double click on the home button to display recently used apps. Flick from left to right along the bottom of the screen, and make sure the volume is not muted (no line across the speaker icon). More info here.
