An Unforgetable Experence
I still remember the day when the sports meeting was held in our school. The next event was the one- hundred -metre relay race. Our class was one of the six teams competing for this race. Unfortuanately, Li Hua, who was the fourth runner, had a terrible stomach-ache. As a result, he had to quit the race.
Who would take Li Hua's place? We were all concerned over this problem. At that moment, I stood up and said: "I can do it!" All the eyes of my classmates were fixed upon me. I could feel their thirst for victory and trust in me. I had no choice but to meet the challenge courageously.
Finally, the relay race started. When the baton was passed into my hand, I felt excited and ran as fast as I could. To my great surprise, I even overtook the runner before me. I was the first to breast the tape!
We won the championship and that was a moment forever stamping in my memory.
