The economy of china has been devloped very well these 20 years and many famillies have become richer than before.The life of Chinese people is very comfortable and relaxing now,so many parents always give their children some pocket money as one way to offer their love,including college students.Some people think this is necessary, others hold that this might bring many problems
The competitive advantage is that if college students are given some amount of money, they can learn how to manage their money. They have the chance to decide what they want to buy and not want to buy. It is necessary and important to cultivate children the ability of managing money and make them understand that they should use their money in a proper way.
However, if college students are given too much money, they may be spoiled to form a bad habit of wasting money. college students are so immature and less self-disciplined that they can not resist the temptation from the advertisements targeted on them. When college students have too much money, they can afford to buy whatever appeals to them other than the necessary commodities for them. Besides this, if a college student is given a lot of money, he may pay too much attention on competing with other students in his class for the winner of having the strongest financial background. As a result, he can not concentrate on his study.
From my point of view, parents play an important role in teaching college studentsthe value of money. In daily lives, parents should let them know that it is not easy to earn money when children are given pocket money so that children can form a good habit of using money properly under their parents' effective guidance.
