All pipe systems and components are to be of good marine type, approved by the class. Pipelines are to be arranged as well and easy to dismantle as practically possible.
All pipes shall be clamped in an appropriate way, so that vibrations and transmission of noise are avoided as far as possible and without obstructing the expansion.
The pipe systems are to be pressure tested according to Class requirements.
Hot dip-galvanised pipes are to be fitted with galvanised bolts and nuts.
Colour coding of the different pipe systems according to ISO standard system.

All overboard valves to have body of ductile steel, or equal (class approved).
(1) Galvanising of steel pipes to be carried out after all preparation and welding is
finished, where practical.
(2) Pipes conducting through fuel oil tanks are not to be galvanised, but material
thickness is to be increased by 1 mm acc. to class requirements.
Under all suction points in ballast tanks a wear plate to be arranged.
