英文中有许多介系词常出现于句子中或是片语里，常常让人搞不清楚到些那些情况下要用什么语意解释这些字。因此，engVid的Rebecca讲师整理了以下几组常见的Out of片语，要来帮大家厘清各种状况下这些片语的用法啦！

1. Out of ______ = No _______ left

第一种Out of的解释，就是「某物用光了」或「某物没有了」之意。

e.g.1. Out of paper.

例1：纸张用完了。

e.g.2. Out of money

例2：钱花完了。

2. Out of touch

Touch在此解释为「联系」，因此Out of touch则表示「失去联系」。

e.g. We’ve been out of touch.

例：我们已经没联络了。

3. Out of work

这就是「失业」或「被资遣」、「被解雇」的意思。

e.g. John is out of work.

例：John被解雇了。

4. Out of town

这个片语表示「出远门」或「不在家」的意思。

e.g. I think he is out of town.

例：我觉得他应该是出远门了吧。

5. Out of order

这组片语和Broken意思相同，皆表示「故障」、「坏掉」之意。

9. Out of nowhere

这组片语即用来表示「突如其来的」、「出乎意料」之意。

e.g. It happened nowhere.
